On 18 January 2023 the Rotary Club of Arusha donated physiotherapy items and food to the John Paul Rehabilitation Centre in Monduli to support the Centre’s excellent work in serving people living with disabilities in the seven districts of Arusha, Meru, Longido, Simanjiro, Ngorongoro, Monduli and Kibaya.
Our donation of specialized physiotherapy equipment (sourced from ‘Physiocare’ in Arusha city) included a large physiotherapy mat, hand exercisers, therapy putty, sensor hand balls, 1kg dumb bells, wheat packs and a shoulder pulley. Food donation (via a kind friend of Rotary named Katja) included rice, Uji Lishe and sugar.
The Rotary Club of Arusha looks forward to continuing to support this special centre in reaching rural and children with physical disabilities who are often marginalized to gain more physical independence and strength as they develop.
